Priyanka Chopra to return to the Don franchise?
Priyanka Chopra, who played the leading lady in Don and Don 2, is apparently set to return for the third installment of the popular franchise. According to a Zoom report, there is a distinct possibility of her joining Ranveer Singh and Kiara Advani in the film. The report further states that Shah Rukh Khan¡¯s exit from the franchise paved the way for her return.
¡°You see, as long as Shah Rukh Khan helmed the franchise, there was no possibility of her (Priyanka) being part pf Part 3(of Don). Once SRK opted out, the chances of her return grew exponentially,¡±a source was quoted as saying.

Don (2006) was a remake of Amitabh Bachchan¡¯s cult film of the same name. It featured SRK in a double role and did decent business at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews. Don 2, the second chapter of the saga, hit the screens in 2011 and received acclaim with critics praising the performances. Don 3 is set to take the franchise in a new direction as it features Ranveer Singh in the titular role.
Is Priyanka Tollywood bound?
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Priyanka is being considered for SSMB 29, starring Mahesh Babu. The adventure drama will be directed by SS Rajamouli and is expected to go on the floors later this year, Prithviraj is reportedly set to appear in a key role in the pan-India film. The buzz is that the biggie will hit the screens in less than two years. It remains to be whether SSMB 29 or Don 3 marks her return to Indian cinema.
