People Call Aamir Khan 'Anti-Hindu' And 'Anti-National', Demand Boycott Of 'Laal Singh Chaddha'
People are calling Aamir Khan anti-Hindu and anti-national and demanding boycott of Laal Singh Chaddha after his India is growing intolerant statement goes viral again.
'Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha' is trending on Twitter as people demand a ban on the Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer movie, which is a remake of Tom Hanks' Forrest Gump. Why are people angry with the film? They have dug out a controversial statement of Khan from the past.
This isn't the first time that the hashtag is trending on social media. Earlier as well, when the trailer of the movie was released, people wanted to boycott the film.
Aamir Khan's statement from 2015 in which he said that "India is growing intolerant" is apparently being reshared on social media.
What did Aamir Khan say? He had said earlier that he along with his former wife Kiran Rao want to leave the country as it was growing intolerant.

He had then clarified that he never called India intolerant. "Our country is very tolerant, but there are people who spread ill-will...Those who speak of breaking up this vast country, such people are present in all religions, only Modiji can stop them. After all, Modiji is our PM, we have to tell him".

"I never said India was intolerant, I was wrongly quoted...To say about rising intolerance and to say India is intolerant are two different things," he said.
"That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me".
