'Won't Allow Adipurush To Release', Vishva Hindu Parishad Objects To Portrayal Of Lord Ram
As #BoycottAdipurush trends on social media, Hindu organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad has also raised objections to the portrayal of Lord Ram, Lakshman and Ravan in the released teaser. Claiming that the film ridicules Hindu culture, it said that the organisation won't allow the film to release in theatres.
After a big hoopla about the "cartoonish" and "poor "VFX" of Adipurush, now people are slamming the Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Adipurush for misinterpretation of Hindu culture. A film based on the mythological epic Ramayana distorts Hindu culture, it is alleged. Many others say that the 500-crore movie is a disgrace to Indian culture.

What's more? Now a Hindu organisation Vishva Hindu Parishad has also raised objections to the portrayal of Lord Ram, Lakshman and Ravan in the released teaser. It also claimed that film "ridiculed Hindu society".
"The values ??of Hindu society have been ridiculed. Hindu society will not tolerate this," Ajay Sharma, Prachar Pramukh of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad's (VHP) Sambhal unit, told reporters.

Furthermore, he has said that the organisation won't allow the film to release in theatres.
"The VHP will not allow this film to be screened in theatres", he added.
Furthermore, he said Central Board of Film Certification has been working in an arbitrary and irresponsible manner.
"If the board is not able to perform its duties, then the government should dissolve it," he said.

On the other side, Uttar Pradesh deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak has asserted that no one will be allowed to play with the sentiments of people.
Furthermore, BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj said, "Ravan looks like a Muslim invader in the film while Hanuman¡¯s image has been distorted beyond recognition which is highly condemnable. Filmmakers think they can get away with any level of cinematic liberty. This cannot be permitted."

Mahant Satyendra Das, chief priest of Ram Janmabhoomi temple, said, "No one can be allowed to misrepresent the Hindu mythology and distort the image of Hindu gods and goddesses."
Sunil Raj of Hindu Rashtra Sena, a fringe outfit, said that the film's teaser also portrays Sita in a poor light. "She looks more like a film heroine than a goddess. We will not allow the film to get a release." Adipurush, a Hindu mythological film based on the epic Ramayana stars actor Prabhas as Lord Ram, Saif Ali Khan as Ravana, and Kriti Sanon as Sita.
