Aamir Ali Indirectly Slams Ex-Wife Sanjeeda Shaikh, Says 'Washing Dirty Linen In Public Isn't My Class'

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh were one of the most loved couples in the television world. They had a fairytale love story that left people in awe. From Nach Baliye to Zara Nachke Dikha and Power Couple, their off-screen chemistry left their fans swooning. However, the news of their separation in 2020 left everyone in shock.

No one knows what went wrong between the couple. Both of them maintained a dignified silence. The couple had welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy in 2019 whom they named Ayra Ali. After their divorce was finalised, the custody of the daughter was given to Sanjeeda Shaikh. Both of them denied to comment on any of this. While Sanjeeda said, "No comments. I just want to make my child proud," Aamir shared, "I wish Sanjeeda all the happiness."

Years later, when Sanjeeda is basking in the limelight of her recently released web-series Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, once again the ex-couple is making headlines. It all started after Sanjeeda in an interview talked about life partners and candidly said, "There are men, and there are partners who try to demotivate you, who tell you that you can't do anything. Or they will say you will not be able to do this. It's better to be away from such people. There are phases in every relationship where you are happy, and then there are some when you are not, and then you take a call for your life and that's what I did for myself, because I started loving myself and I started prioritising myself and that is very, very important."

Now, Aamir has reacted to her comment. In conversation with News 18, he said, "Not everything that she and I say about one another is about us. We have not been together for nearly five years now. She must have gone through something like that in that period, I guess. Ours is an old story now which is over. I know what I went through in that separation period and what happened to me. But washing dirty linen in public is not my class. I¡¯ve never put anyone down and I never will, especially who I have shared a relationship with."
