Actor Kendrick Sampson Shot With Rubber Bullets 7 Times During George Floyd Protest In LA
Actor Kendrick Sampson of Insecure fame said he was shot seven times with rubber bullets by police in Los Angeles. The actor went live on Instagram to show his view of events. Simultaneously, he was also seen on a CNN broadcast with viewers watching him get hit by a police baton on TV. Another clip shows him moving away from the police, as he appeared to be hit by an officer's baton.
As protest against racial injustice and police brutality continues, many Hollywood celebrities have taken to streets to decry the killing of George Floyd, an unarmed black man in Minneapolis, who died after a white police officer pinned him to the ground with his knee on his neck.

¡°They shot me four times already. I already got hurt and I got hit with a baton,¡± Sampson said in the video on Instagram.
Another clip shows him moving away from the police, as he appeared to be hit by an officer's baton.
"Y'all ain't see no police f*****g up white folks when they took guns to the statehouse,¡± he said, referring to an incident in Michigan over coronavirus restrictions, not in California. 'Y' all didn't see police attacking white folks, beating em up with batons, shooting them with rubber bullets when they brought guns to f*****g state houses. We came up here with no weapons, with masks.¡ And we're the ones who are not peaceful," he alleged.
Actor John Cusack also claimed that Chicago Police officials charged at him with batons as he was recording a video of a burning car amid the protests and riots in the city in the wake of George Floyd's death.
"Cops didn't like me filming the burning car so they came at me with batons. Hitting my bike," Cusack captioned the clip.

Though the video didn't clearly show the action, Cusack alleged that the police can be heard striking his bicycle with batons. "Alright, alright," the actor is heard replying.
In another tweet, Cusack said he had also been "hit by pepper spray" during the protests.
