After Being Trolled For Adipurush, Saif Ali Khan Wants A Role In Mahabharata With One Condition
Saif Ali Khan was recently seen alongside Hrithik Roshan in Vikram Vedha. The actor will also be seen in director Om Raut's upcoming film 'Adipurush' alongside Prabhas and actress Kriti Sanon.
Recently, the teaser of Adipurush was released by the makers and Saif Ali Khan's appearance as Ravan in the film has left the internet flabbergasted as they compared the actor's look to Mughal rulers such as Khilji and Aurangzeb.
Saif Ali Khan got brutally trolled for his appearance in Adipurush. But, now, reports reveal that Saif Ali Khan wants to be a part of Mahabharata as well.
When asked about his ideal role in films during an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Saif Ali Khan said. "I don¡¯t think like that. I just think of what I am offered. I don¡¯t really have a dream subject. I don¡¯t think there¡¯s any point in thinking like that. But what I would like to do is act in Mahabharata, if someone makes it like Lord of the Rings."
The actor further revealed that they have been discussing that with actor-producer Ajay Devgn since Kachche Dhaage.
"In our generation, it¡¯s the dream subject. We¡¯ll get the Bombay film industry with the South if that¡¯s possible. Karana is more appealing to me, there are a lot of great characters," the Vikram Vedha actor said.
Saif Ali Khan's latest film Vikram Vedha is gaining momentum at the box office after a slow start since September 30. Saif plays Vikram in the film while Hrithik Roshan plays Vedha, the villain.
On the other hand, addressing the negative reactions of the audience on social media, Adipurush director Om Raut said that the film has been made for the 3D experience.
Speaking of how Adipurush is meant to be watched on the big screen Om Raut expressed that watching the movie on the biggest screen possible will make it a good experience for all the viewers, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.
Adipurush stars Prabhas as Raghava, Saif as Lankesh or Ravan while Kriti Sanon plays Janaki. Sunny Singh also features in the film as Laxman. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Rajesh Mohanan, and director Om Raut himself, Adipurush is all set to release in theatres on January 12 next year.
Moreover, on the work front, Saif, who was last seen in Bunty Aur Babli 2, will feature in Bhoot Police 2.
