Ever since the formation of One Direction, Zayn Malik has won over hearts. No matter what he did back then, from singing well to appearing on magazine covers, he made headlines. When One Direction disbanded, Zayn started releasing music as an independent artist and became well-known because of songs like Pillowtalk. A great deal of criticism also surrounded him and his then wife, Gigi Hadid because of trouble in their paradise.

When asked what Zayn¡¯s favourite Hindi/Urdu song is, Zayn was quick to say ¡®Abhi Mujh Me Kahin¡¯ by Sonu Nigam.
¡°It is just an incredible song and I would do absolutely no justice to it trying to sing it for you, so I am not going to attempt that. But maybe at some point on my tour in future, I might attempt it there. So, there you go,¡± he went on to add.
When Zayn Malik sang Allah Ke Bande
A few years ago, Zayn Malik¡¯s cover of Allah Ke Bande by Kailash Kher went viral. While some people went gaga over it, most people trolled him brutally since he could not sing it well.
In fact, even Kailash Kher reacted to it. He said as per IndianExpress, ¡°I didn¡¯t even know who he was until someone sent me the video saying, ¡®Look, who sang your song¡¯. I was like, ¡®Kaun hai bhai?¡¯ And then I went on to his Instagram [account], and saw that he has covered the song, and he has over 27 million followers. That¡¯s when I learnt about him and came to know that he is a big pop star in the West, who is a huge icon.¡±
He added, ¡°For Zayn Malik, I would suggest... we have our digital academy (Kailash Kher Academy of Learning Arts) coming up soon, where there will be a course dedicated to all our compositions, which include Teri Deewani and other superhits... [so] to know and learn the correct codes and nuances. It will help him improve his skills on such songs.¡±
How did Zayn Malik's journey start?
For the unversed, In 2010, Zayn Malik made a solo audition for the British music competition TV show The X Factor. He was welcomed back into the competition after being eliminated to create One Direction, a boy band that went on to become one of the all-time best-selling boy bands. In March 2015, he announced his exit from the group and inked a solo recording deal with RCA Records.
