Akshay Kumar Reportedly Demanded Rs 90 Cr For Hera Pheri 3; Kartik Aaryan Agreed In Rs 30 Crore

It was two decades ago that heist comedy had released and changed the way movie buffs looked at comedy movies. Years later, it has been tagged as a cult film that seemingly aged quite well for the meme generation too. It's one of those films that you can watch over and over again and it still manages to uplift your mood every time.

The cast of the film plays a very important role in it. In 2006, the sequel to the film was released which was a hit too. Since then, fans had been waiting for a third installment, but when the announcement was made, the audiences were shocked.

Akshay Kumar isn't a part of the third chapter, it was revealed. Kartik Aaryan has replaced him. This isn't the film time this has happened. Kartik had earlier replaced him in Bhool Bhulaiya. While fans thought that the sequel to horror comedy will be a flop, it turned out to be a massive hit. Will the same happen with Hera Pheri 3?

While Akshay - who got emotional talking about this - said that he opted out of the film because of creative differences, a report claims that he asked for a lot of money.

As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Akshay Kumar demanded Rs 90 crore, whereas Kartik Aaryan agreed to do the film for Rs 30 crore. The report also claims that the producer was discussing Hera Pheri 3 with both actors simultaneously.

Nothing can be said to be true as of now until an official announcement is made, however, Akshay said that he walked out due to creative differences.

Speaking at HT Leadership Summit, Kumar said, "Hera Pheri has been a part of me. A lot of people have memories and even I have good memories of it. But I feel sad that we haven¡¯t made the third part for so many years. The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the screenplay and the script.

"I was not happy with it. I have to do what people want to see. So I backed out. For me, ¡®Hera Pheri¡¯ is a part of life, my journey in a huge way. I¡¯m equally sad about it and that I¡¯m not able to do the third part. But I¡¯m not happy with the way things have shaped up creatively."

Meanwhile, fans are quite upset that Akshay Kumar isn't a part of Hera Pheri 3.
