Akshay Kumar Does It Again, Donates Rs 1.08 Cr To Kin Of CRPF Jawans Killed In Sukma Attack
Akshay Kumar has donated Rs 108 crore to the families of twelve slain jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force CRPF. The Jawans belonged to 219 battalion and they lost their lives in Chhattisgarhs Sukma district after a group of Naxals armed militia ambushed a road opening party ROP.

According to a latest TOI report, Akshay Kumar has donated Rs 1.08 crore to the families of twelve slain jawans of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The Jawans belonged to 219 battalion and they lost their lives in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district after a group of the Naxals' armed militia ambushed a road opening party (ROP) in the area's Bheji village on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
The report claims that Akshay was in constant touch with IPS officer Amit Lodha, DIG of Jaisalmer sector north. After due inquiries, Akshay requested Lodha to share the details of the slain jawans' kin. Akshay then extended monetary help of Rs 9 lakh each to families of the martyred jawans.
Talking to TOI, DIG Lodha said,
"Akshay himself has been in touch with me and he keeps enquiring about incidents and when I told him about the Sukma incident he immediately told me he would like to contribute and do his bit for the families of the martyred jawans, we are all grateful to him for this kind gesture."
