Protestors Burn Akshay KumarĄ¯s Effigy, Demand Change Of Title Of His Upcoming Film 'Prithviraj'

Akshay KumarĄ¯s upcoming film has landed in controversy much before its release. There are certain sections who are unhappy with the title of the film as they feel itĄ¯s an insult to a Hindu King.

And the latest report is that the film witnessed a strong demonstration by Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha who is demanding the change of title. They have announced that if the makers wonĄ¯t budge then they will face consequences.

As per reports, the organisation has strongly demanded that the name of the film cannot be just Prithviraj but should have the entire title of the King. They said that the full name of the film should be Hindu Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan or Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan, They reasoned that he was the last Hindu emperor and the film should give him full respect with regard of the title.

The members of the Mahasabha also warned that if the makers fail to address their demand then the film will face the same fate as the Kshatriya Samaj did to Padmaavat and Jodha Akbar in the past. During the demonstration, slogans were shouted and effigies of the filmĄ¯s producer-director and lead actor Akshay Kumar were also burnt.
