'Possibly The Biggest Blockbuster', Alia Bhatt Reacts To Boycott Trolls Amid Pathaan's Success
Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan has beaten Salman Khan's Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Alia Bhatt, who is all set to be seen in her debut Hollywood film 'Heart of Stones' has hailed Shah Rukh Khan's film Pathaan amid reports of the film earning almost 500 crores at the global box office.
Alia not only called Shah Rukh's film Pathaan a "blockbuster" but possibly the "biggest blockbuster in Indian cinema" reacting to the Bollywood boycott trolls.
Alia Bhatt is elated that her Dear Zindagi co-star Shah Rukh Khan¡¯s film Pathaan has broken several box office records including her and Ranbir Kapoor's 'Brahmastra Part One- Shiva,' which was directed by Aya Mukerji.
According to a News18 report, Alia said that every film in the industry should do well and even ¡°break every film¡¯s record".
During a media interaction at the Zee Cine awards 2023 press conference recently, Alia Bhatt was asked whether the success of SRK's Pathaan, Gangubai Kathiawadi, and Brahmastra was an answer to the social media trolls as all three films faced boycott calls on social media platforms for various reasons.
¡°I don¡¯t think we have so much aggression in us like that. We are very grateful to be working and living our dream on a day-to-day basis. And we believe that we belong to the audience and the audience can say whatever they want about us. As long as we are entertaining them we will do our very best," Alia Bhatt responded as per the media outlet.
She also spoke of Pathaan and said, "We feel very very happy as an industry that a film like Pathaan is not just a blockbuster but possibly the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema. I think everybody should definitely clap for that once. We feel grateful for moments like this and pray that yahi hota rahe (this should continue happening)."
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan's actioner 'Pathaan' has beaten the lifetime collection of Salman Khan's blockbuster films Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. It is also heading to break the lifetime collection record of Aamir Khan's Dangal to become the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in Bollywood.
Pathaan's ensemble cast includes Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, Deepika Padukone as Pathaan's love interest and an ISIS agent while actor John Abraham plays an ex-officer-turned-villain.
