Amid National Crisis, These 17 Celebrities Have Stepped Forward To Help COVID Patients In Need
From Sonu Sood to Gurmeet Choudhary, Salman Khan to Alia Bhatt, here is a list of Bollywood actors who are helping COVID-19 patients.
Some of them were on vacations to Maldives and Goa. Some of them are staying at home to avoid infection, as we all should. However, there are other celebrities who have stepped forward to help those in need.
On Twitter, some of the celebrities are being brutally trolled for going on vacations amid crisis.
People are questioning their silence at a time when we are going through a national crisis and our healthcare system has collapsed.
"Dear coward Indian Celebrities, Show some spine!Speak up! You compatriots are dying every second for as basic a thing as oxygen supply due to misplaced priorities of your demigods. Where is your conscience? Where is ur sold soul & heart? Be loyal to the country, not the regime!" wrote Indian politician Tejashwi Prasad Yadav.
When global citizens criticised insensitive Govt on farmers agitation, on Govt behest they displayed paid & fake outrage in the name of Internal Matter.
¡ª Tejashwi Yadav (@yadavtejashwi) April 24, 2021
Where's their selective outrage now?
Indians are dying everywhere, every moment but these hollow IDOLS are least bothered.
Shah Rukh Khan's tweet about IPL became the eye of the storm too.
This is the Modi effect: he has terrorised Bollywood so much that even to commiserate with the tens of thousands dying of COVID is seen as a criticism of government. Instead, from India¡¯s biggest star, we have a tweet about cricket. Not all who wear capes are heroes. https://t.co/jCfxEhQoUR
¡ª Aatish Taseer (@AatishTaseer) April 24, 2021
Some other people are questioning if it's really the duty of Bollywood actors to help in these times.
What is this nonsense of criticizing IPL now?Stop blaming cricketers and Bollywood for everything just because you don¡¯t have the balls to question the Govt!
