Another Complaint Filed Against Ajay Devgn's Thank God By Kayastha Samaj Members In Rajasthan
A complaint has been lodged against Thank God by Rajasthan's Kayastha Samaj for allegedly hurting religious sentiments.
Looks like the trouble for Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra¡¯s upcoming film Thank God is increasing by the day.
After a case was filed by a lawyer in Uttar Pradesh and Hindu Janajagruti Samithi demanded a ban on the movie Thank God, another complaint has been registered against the Ajay Devgn-Sidharth Malhotra starrer by Kayastha Samaj in Rajasthan.
In their complaint, the group has accused the makers of hurting their religious sentiments. The complaint has been registered against the actor Ajay Devgn and producers among others.
The representatives of the Kayastha community led by social worker Chandrakant Saxena filed the complaint at the Nihalganj police station under the banner of the Sri Chitragupta Committee as per the reports shared by the media agency.
The senior vice-president of Kayastha Mahasabha Sanjeev Srivastava had earlier stated that a memorandum will be handed over to the district collector.
According to Sanjeev Srivastava, the trailer of Ajay Devgn's Thank God shows Hindu God Chitragupta dressed in modern outfits and surrounded by ¡°half-naked women¡±.
He said that this has hurt the religious sentiments of their community and that it's a conspiracy to harm social harmony. The national senior vice-president of Kayastha Mahasabha also demanded the removal of the objectionable scenes from the film.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh education minister Vishvas Sarang had demanded banning the film days after a lawyer namely Himanshu Sharma filed a complaint against Thank God in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur court.
Himanshu Sharma accused that Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra's forthcoming movie insults Hindu deity Chitragupta. He also said that makers have misrepresented Ajay Devgn's character in the comedy film.
