'Trying To Do Stand-Up Comedian's Job', Anupam Kher Calls Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Insensitive
Anupam Kher not only called Arvind Kejriwal crude and sensitive, but he also said that the Delhi CM was trying to do a stand-up comedian's job as he talked about The Kashmir Files in Delhi Assembly.
During his recent speech in the Delhi assembly, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal mentioned the much-talked-about film The Kashmir Files, which has also stirred a political storm.
Taking a dig at the ruling government, he mocked the BJP workers who were seen plastering posters of the Vivek Agnihotri film.
"Is this why you have joined politics? To put up posters of films? What do you tell your children when they ask you about your work? Do you tell them: 'Movie ka poster lagata hoon (I put movie posters),'" he asked amid roars of laughter.

He also said, "Some people are earning crores in the name of Kashmiri Pandits and you (BJP) have been sticking posters of the film. They (BJP) are demanding that the movie be declared tax-free in Delhi. Upload it on YouTube, the movie will become free and everyone will be able to watch it."
Arvind Kejriwal's speech has got mixed reactions from people. While some are praising him, there are others who are lashing out at him. One of them is The Kashmir Files actor Anupam Kher, who said that he was trying to be a comedian.

"If he wants to have a political problem with the Prime Minister or the BJP, he should have just spoken about that. But to bring in Kashmir Files...to call it a propaganda film....it was shameful. He has not seen the film...he was trying to play to the gallery...he was trying to do a stand up comedian's job over there," he told Times Now.
He also said, "Arvind Kejriwal was crude, insensitive and he did not think about the lakhs of Kashmiri Hindus who were thrown out of their homes".
Reacting to the same comment, Anupam Kher had earlier told his followers to watch the film only in theatres after Kejriwal said, "They (BJP) are demanding that the movie be declared tax-free in Delhi. Upload it on YouTube, the movie will become free and everyone will be able to watch it."

Reacting to Arvind Kejriwal's statement, Vivek Agnihotri said in a statement, "Many people even want God should come to earth. There are people who are fool, then there are mad and then there are idiots. All these three categories of people should be avoided, they should not be answered," he added."
Meanwhile, BJP leaders shared Kejriwal's old tweets where he had made Nil Battey Sannata tax-free in Delhi in 2016 and Saand ki Aankh in 2019.
