Anupam Kher Condoles Shinzo Abe's Death, Calls Him One Of The Most Compassionate World Leaders

Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is the latest victim of gun violence. The ex-PM of Japan was shot while he was addressing an election campaign rally in Nara city ahead of the polling for the Upper House of the Parliament scheduled this Sunday.

After the unfortunate incident, Shinzo Abe was airlifted from the shooting site and taken to a hospital for treatment. However, due to his serious condition, the Japanese leader succumbed to his injuries at the hospital in Kashihara. The shooter has been identified as 41-year-old Yamagami Tetsuya, who was nabbed by the police immediately after he shot at Shinzo Abe.

Saddened and shocked by the sudden killing of Shinzo Abe, many politicians, leaders, and well known personalities including Bollywood celebrities took to social media to condemn the shooting and express their heartfelt condolences.

My condolences to his family & people of Japan!¡± the actor tweeted. Actress Kangana Ranaut also took to her Instagram stories to express her grief over Shinzo Abe's shocking death.

India's Prime Minsiter Narendra Modi too remembered Shinzo Abe and wrote, "With the death of former Prime Minister Abe, Japan and the world have lost great foresight. And I lost my dear friend."

Meanwhile, footage doing the rounds on news channels show Shinzo Abe collapsing to the ground after being shot at while the meeting was ongoing. The former Japan PM suffered two bullet wounds - one to his neck and the other to his heart during the gun attack.

Police in Japan announced that a 90-member task force will investigate the murder of former PM Shinzo Abe, who is known to be Japan¡¯s longest-serving Prime Minister.

According to BBC report, Shinzo Abe's body was being moved to Tokyo shortly before 6:00 am (2100 GMT) in a funeral hearse. Shinzo Abe died at the age of 67 and his death in the country where gun crime is rare has profoundly shocked the world.
