Boney Kapoor laughs off Arshad Warsi's claims
After Arshad Warsi said that he was paid less for Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, a film produced by Boney Kapoor that starred Sridevi and Anil Kapoor in lead roles. For the unversed, Arshad Warsi had started his journey in Bollywood as a choreographer/dancer. In the film Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, he choreographed a song for which he was paid less, he claimed in the interview.

Hitting back at the Munna Bhai MBBS actor, the filmmaker laughed off his claims and said that he found his claims "amusing". He also called out the fact that he was bringing up an issue from 1995 after almost three decades. Saying that he doesn't even remember this, Boney said that he was promised money on the basis of the number of days he worked. "It wasn¡¯t like he was promised a certain amount... At that time, he was not a star; who would have paid him such a huge amount?" Kapoor told entertainment portal Bollywood Hungama adding that Arshad was supposed to be paid Rs 25,000 per day, and so, for three days of work, he was paid Rs 75,000.
Furthermore, Boney Kapoor mentioned that they have both worked together on Jhalak Dhikla Jaa, and he never mentioned about this incident to him personally. He added that he was doing it for "media attention, and I am an easy target."
What did Arshad Warsi say about being paid less?
Arshad Warsi, in the interview, had revealed that he quoted Rs 1 lakh thinking that it would take four days to complete the song. However, the production team requested if he could finish the shoot in less time to cut the cost of production. So, he accommodated their request and completed the song in three days. While he was expecting they will appreciate his efficiency, they instead paid him less. "When I went to collect my payment, they gave me Rs. 75,000 instead of Rs. 1 lakh. They said, 'For four days, it's Rs. 1 lakh, and for three days, it's Rs. 75,000," which didn't seem fair to him.
