K-pop Group BTS Meets US Prez Joe Biden In White House, Discuss Anti-Asian Hate Crimes

Globally famous K-pop boy group BTS went on to meet United States President Joe Biden in the White House on Tuesday. According to various reports, before meeting Biden, the South Korean boy band appeared for a White House press briefing.

Photos of the K-pop group circulated online shows all the seven members of the group wearing matching black suits and looking fabulous in their outfits while they stood behind the White House podium.

BTS Discusses Anti-Asian Hate Crimes

During the interaction with the media, BTS opened up about the dangers of anti-Asian hate and how music can make an impact. BTS' RM said that it has been a ¡®great honour¡¯ for the group to put firwar their views regarding anti-Asian hate crimes. ¡°It¡¯s not wrong to be different. Equality begins when we open up and embrace all of our differences,¡± BTS's Suga said while appealing for tolerance.

¡°We were devastated by the recent surge of hate crimes, including Asian-American hate crimes. To put a stop to this and support the cause, we¡¯d like to take this opportunity to voice ourselves once again,¡± member of the group, Jimin further added while Jungkook said, ¡°We are still so surprised that music created by South Korean artists reaches so many people around the world, transcending languages and cultural barriers.¡±

Jungkook also added, ¡°We believe music is always an amazing and wonderful unifier of all things.¡± V also took the opportunity to share his thoughts. The singer said, that everyone has their own history¡¯ and further added, ¡°We hope today is one step forward to respecting and understanding each and every one as a valuable person.¡±

The K-pop group further opened up about being mocked for their looks. Meanwhile, BTS is gearing up for their next album, Proof, which is scheduled to be released on June 10.

BTS' Jungkook Creates Buzz on Social Media

Recently, BTS member Jungkook created a huge buzz on social media for deleting his Instagram feed. On Monday, the member of the K-pop boy group deleted all of his posts from his official Instagram handle which left the ARMY confused whether he trying to promote their new album Proof or was he upset.
