Recently, Salman Khan single-handedly managed to put off a bevy of sports persons, when he was appointed as the goodwill ambassador for Indian contingent at Rio Oympics 2016. Sports persons like Yogeshwar Dutt, Mikha Singh and Dhanraj Pillay, have slammed the decision, stating that this honour should have been given to a sports personality rather than to a Bollywood actor. Now, you'd say that's a pretty valid point, right? Unless you're an avid bhai fan!

But now, Salman's father, Salim Khan has come to his rescue, justifying his son's appointment as the goodwill ambassador.
First, he decided to correct Milkha Singh.
Milkhaji it is not Bollywood it is the Indian Film Industry and that too the largest in the world.

He then went on to justify how his son is great at sports as well.

Followed by a tweet saying that sportsmen 'perform' because of sports lovers. Whatever happened to training and their hardwork?
Sportsmen are performing because of sports lovers like us.

Isn't that a bit biased, Mr. Salim Khan?
