'A Dream Come True', Sanya Malhotra Talks About Working With 'King' Shah Rukh Khan In Jawan
Sanya Malhotra says working with Shah Rukh Khan in his upcoming movie Jawan is a 'dream come true.'
Actor Sanya Malhotra has done a couple of films and has proved her talent with unconventional roles in films like Dangal, Pagglait, and HIT among others.
The actress has made a mark with her stunning performances in Bollywood and is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming film - Kathal, which is slated to hit Netflix on May 19, 2023.
Sanya Malhotra Talks About Her Dream Project
During a recent interview with a leading media portal, Sanya Malhotra talked about her dream coming true and how she's at the forefront when it comes to choosing films.
Sanya, who's all set to share screen space with Bollywood 'king' Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, said that she's excited about Atlee¡¯s directorial with the superstar.
Speaking of Jawan and her co-star SRK Sanya said, "I am excited because I can finally talk about it. Before this I would give some really weird answers every time I was asked whether I am in Jawan or not. I always hoped to work with SRK one day, so it is a dream come true. I cannot wait to see myself around him¡ it is a dream role, a dream film. Just to be around him makes me really happy."
Jawan also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi in key roles among others. The film is slated to hit theatre screens on September 7, 2023.
Sanya Malhotra's Upcoming Movies
Apart from Jawan, Sanya has a couple of interesting projects lined up this year. She'll be seen in Sam Bahadur with Vicky Kaushal and the Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie 'The Great Indian Kitchen.'
Speaking of her film Kathal, Sanya said that she accepted the offer after listening to the film¡¯s one-line pitch after she received appreciation for Pagglait which was also backed by the same people as Kathal.
¡°This happened right after Pagglait. I got a call from Guneet (Monga) and she said ¡®I have a script and it is very interesting. I want you to hear a one liner of it. Yasho (Kathal director Yashowardhan Mishra) was still working on the script then. She called me before anything in the world and gave me a one-liner. My association with Sikhya, Balaji and Netflix was so fruitful during Pagglait that I could never say no to the jackfruit," the actress told the portal and giggled.
"I feel that whenever I do a film, my politics is always on the forefront. So, sometimes I am also looking for characters that will inspire me and the other people who are watching it," Sanya added.
