Emraan Hashmi Admits He Made Enemies With His Controversial Comments About Aishwarya Rai On KWK

Who has been in the good light after having ¡®Koffee with Karan?¡¯

Every season, every episode arrives with a series of backlash for someone or the other just because they were honest about themselves. But who loves honesty? The Gen-Z netizens crave either whitewashed star images or full-on drama to sip tea with. Actor Emraan Hashmi was once a target of the ¡®trying to look cool¡¯ notion.

Hashmi appeared on the 4th season of Koffee With Karan and said all the things that were enough to get him his ¡®two minutes of fame¡¯.

In a recent interview with Zoom, Emraan shared that he still has the potential to stir more controversies if he returns to Karan¡¯s show. Recalling the time when he called actress Aishwarya Rai ¡®plastic¡¯, Emraan sighed and said, ¡°You end up making many enemies¡­¡±.

When asked if that¡¯s the reason he¡¯s barely seen on any talk show, Hashmi said, ¡°It¡¯s too much to handle.¡± He further said, ¡°If I go on Koffee with Karan again, I¡¯ll make a mess of things again. I¡¯ll probably be worse off in the rapid-fire round than I was before.¡± Emraan then jokingly added, ¡°I don¡¯t have anything against these people. I just wanted to win the hamper. And then you say weird things.¡±

Back in 2014, Emraan issued a public apology to Aishwarya Rai.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, the actor had said, ¡°I didn¡¯t mean it. I¡¯m a big fan of Aishwarya. It¡¯s the format of the show. I can not say things and not win the hamper. I love her. I have always been a great admirer of her work. I knew people would make a big deal out of it¡­ so what, people make a big deal out of nonsense all the time!¡±

Despite the apology, Aishwarya never forgave Emraan and chose to leave him and his unasked-for remarks - unaddressed.

In the same episode, he also said that Mahesh Bhatt was able to afford a Rs 40 crore penthouse in Bandra largely due to the successful movies he worked on with the filmmaker. He also labelled him as an 'extortionist' and declared Mallika Sherawat as his 'worst' on-screen kiss.

On the work front, Emraan is currently seen playing the antagonist in the Salman Khan starrer Tiger 3. On the other hand, Koffee with Karan is currently in its eighth season and has already called for trolling for celebs who¡¯ve featured so far.
