Fans React As Old Video Of Hrithik Roshan Poking Fun At Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon Resurfaces
During an interaction with Actor Hrithik Roshan Pokes Fun At His Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon Character
A video of 'Vikram Vedha' actor Hrithik Roshan sharing his experience playing 'Prem' in the 2003 romantic musical movie 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon' has surfaced on the internet.
In the video, 'War' actor Hrithik Roshan can be heard talking about his character and confessing that he tried really hard to portray Prem onscreen.
"I think I was not mature enough to understand that side of me. I generally don't gravitate towards characters which are that far away in essence," actor Hrithik Roshan can be heard saying in the video while interacting the audience during an interview with film critic Anupama Chopra.
The actor further quipped, "I wasn't aware of the fact that some things are not natural to your state. Even if you try really hard, which I did, you would still fail. But, I tried, I gave it my best shot. I mean, have you seen the film?"
The actor then went on to mimic his character, "oh no auntyy no.." saying that was the tone of the character and everyone in the video can be seen bursting in laughter.
Fans have reacted to Hrithik's hilarious confession.
Speaking of the film, a user on Reddit wrote, "Man I know that in this film everyone was overacting and that it was a literal cinge fest but I just always remember that scene from the movie where Kareena's mom doesn't give Hritik the Haldi doodh after finding out that he's poor af. That scene really made 9-year-old me feel bad and still does."
Another said, "He is making fun of his character in the movie¡. indirectly saying to the director -¡°who writes such characters?" while a fan quipped, "Movie is a cult now. Showcased in acting schools all over the world on how not to act. Love him though."
A third user said, "I can never, ever even think about this movie without imagining the skit where Kanan Gill and Biswa Kalyan Rath pretending to be the director while pumping up Hrithik, ending with Hrithik swinging from a rope shouting AUNTYYYYYYY!" Isn't that hilarious?
However, people now think that the actor is in a better space and has also risen above the numbers game.
"Poor Hrithik. His signing spree before knph really haunted him for 2 years post knph. He clearly did not expect his stardom. I like the space he is in now. He seems to have risen above numbers game. He should stay in this space but please for the love of God, make a movie every year," another user on Reddit stated.
