A week after Menaka Irani's death, Farah Khan penned a heartfelt tribute, capturing her mother's unique personality, humor, and generosity. The heartfelt post that will bring both tears and smiles.
Losing a parent is like losing a part of you. The void never fills, the time never heals. It's a profound absence that lingers on forever. Filmmakers Farah Khan and Sajid Khan lost their mother Menaka Irani at the age of 76 on July 26. Almost a week later, the choreographer-director has penned down a heartfelt note paying tribute to her mom. The adorable post will tear you up and make you smile at the same time.
Farah Khan pays tribute to her late mother in an emotional post
For the unversed, Menaka Irani was sister of former child actors Honey Irani and Daisy Irani. In her post, Farah wrote, "My mom was a very unique person... never wanted the limelight or any fuss around her... despite the hard knocks she faced in her early life she was a rare one who had no bitterness or envy towards anyone."
Farah had previously revealed that they have faced a lot of problems during their childhood as their father, stuntman-turned-producer Kamran Khan, went bankrupt after his film failed at the box office. He lost all his savings and got addicted to alcohol. His father died because of health problems and the family didn't even have money for his funeral. Sajid Khan on Bigg Boss 16 had once revealed that Salman Khan's father Salim Khan had helped them by offering some cash.
In her post, Farah Khan shared that her mother was naturally funny, explaining where both she and Sajid inherited their sense of humor. "Everyone who met her loved her and realised where we get our sense of humour from. Well hardly.. she was far wittier and funnier than both Sajid and I put together."

She also revealed that her mother was a down-to-earth lady who would always help people around her in whatever way possible. "I don't know if she can see the outpouring of genuine love and condolences that have come for her... not only from our friends and of course family but so many of her colleagues and people who worked in our house came saying how my mom had helped them with loans or sending them money... never expected it back. Thank you to all who came home to be with us in our grief... to all who messaged and are still messaging."

Menaka Irani passed away a day after Farah revealed in an Instagram post that her mother had undergone multiple surgeries. "To all her doctors and nurses at Nanavati hospital who tried their best every day. And to our consulting doctors from Chandigarh pgi and belle vue hospital... We are grateful you gave us some more days with her. ?? it's time to get back to work.. that¡¯s what she was always proud of. Our work! I don¡¯t want time to heal this lump that will always stay in my heart.. I don¡¯t want to miss her coz she¡¯s always been a part of me..grateful to the universe for letting her be my mother and letting us look after her the way she single-handedly looked after us all her life.. no more mourning now... I want to celebrate her every day... thank you everyone.. ???? p.s- the song playing was by her favourite country singer Don Williams. Knowing her she would probably think it's too filmy of me to use it here..."
Many celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Rani Mukerji, Akshay Kumar Bhushan Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, and MC Stan among others visited Farah and Sajid's home to pay their last respect.
