Director Hansal Mehta and his son, Jai Mehta, have expressed their disappointment over an incident involving South actor Nagarjuna's bodyguard shoving a disabled fan at the Mumbai airport. They shared their thoughts on social media, with Jai saying the incident reminded him of his brother Pallava, who has Down syndrome.
Jai speculated that the fan might be ¡°specially-abled¡± and said he had seen the same person at the airport before. He criticised Nagarjuna's bodyguard, saying celebrities and their teams should be more considerate. Jai wrote, "The security guards ought to be educated on how to control a crowd better and more respectfully. Celebrities/politicians/sportsmen need to start being a little less self-obsessed and a little more giving.¡±
I¡¯d like to point out (I could be wrong. But I don¡¯t think I am) that the gentleman asking for the ¡®stars¡¯ attention seems to be specially abled. Do they actually think a staff member/ employee at an airport who must be witnessing celebrities walk in and out of that very same¡ https://t.co/Lbig2Zo5NX

He also pointed out that Nagarjuna did not even look at the person who was pushed. "But I hate that he didn¡¯t even bother to look at the person that walked into him and didn¡¯t even bother to look back the person that got shoved away from him by his security guard,¡± Jai added.
Jai mentioned that his brother Pallava is a big fan of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan but avoids taking him to public events to prevent similar incidents. He noted that Pallava often gets ¡®weird looks¡¯ from so-called ¡®woke people.¡¯

Supporting Jai¡¯s tweet, Hansal Mehta shared his experience trying to arrange a meeting between Pallava and his favourite star, which never happened despite multiple requests. He wrote, ¡°True story. So my son Pallava is a fan of this massive star. I¡¯d requested through his brother, his close friends at various times that meeting the star would mean the world to him. And it would be my gift to my boy. When his eyes were operated the first person he recognised in the newspaper was that star. But no. There was no response from the star or his friends. I gave up. Now over the years Pallu¡¯s cognitive abilities have declined. And this will have no meaning, even if it has to happen.¡±

What exactly happened at the Mumbai airport?
In a video shared by a paparazzo on X, actor Nagarjuna was seen exiting an airport with his bodyguard. Actor Dhanush was walking beside him. As they walked, a cafe staff member approached Nagarjuna, but his bodyguard quickly pushed the person away, causing them to stumble and fall. Nagarjuna did not react and continued walking. Dhanush glanced back a few times but also kept walking. Actor Nagarjuna has now issued an apology after an incident.
