Indian village girl Priyanka Mallick designed King Charles III And Queen Camilla's outfits for coronation ceremony. She has received a letter of appreciation for the same from the UK's royal family.
One of the dresses that Queen Camilla will wear for King Charles III's coronation ceremony has been designed by Indian fashion designer Priyanka Mallick. Impressed with her outfit, the royal family of the UK sent her a letter praising her and calling her a 'very talented artist'. Apart from the dress, Mallick who hails from West Bengal also designed a broach for the king.
Queen Camilla will be wearing the red outfit designed by her on May 7 at the evening party.
As per the reports, Priyanka created the outfits with the help of local input and stylists. Priyanka Mallick hails from Singur in Hooghly district of Kolkata.
The letter praising her reads, "I would like to thank you, on behalf of The Queen Consort, for so kindly sending your lovely dress design. Her Majesty was touched that you would think of her in this way and would have me thank you for taking the time to send us your sketches. You are a very talented artist. This comes with The Queen Consort's warmest thanks."
The Queen was so impressed with her work that the royal family then roped her in to design the butterfly broach too.
"I got an appreciation letter from the Queen for my designs. After that, I designed the brooch for the King too," she said.
She thanked them in a letter too.
In other news, Sonam Kapoor is all set to perform at King Charles III's coronation.
Sonam Kapoor is the only Indian celebrity ever to have been invited to dine with the royal.

She will be joined by stars like Katy Perry, Lionel Richi, Hugh Bonneville, Andrea Bocelli, Bryn Terfel, Freya Ridings, Alexis Ffrench and a collaboration of five Royal patronages among others. Tom Cruise, Joan Collins and Tom Jones will also join virtually.
