Internet Calls Actor Siddharth A 'Hero' After He Shuts Down BJP Leader With An Epic Reply!
This is also one of the reasons why actor Siddharth often gets trolled on social media. In the wake of his tweets about farmers toolkit that led to the arrest of 21-year-old climate activist Disha Ravi, he received flak from Member of BJP¡¯s National Manifesto Sub-Committee Karuna Gopal, who tweeted a photo of Siddharth with a quote, "Who is this person? A school dropout maybe...?"
There are very few celebrities who voice out their opinions fearlessly on social media, especially concerning national issues. One of them is Rang De Basanti actor Siddharth, who not only calls out his contemporaries for choosing to stay mum or taking a diplomatic route or standing with a propaganda, but he also has a penchant of calling a spade, a spade.

In the caption, she said, "Who is this person? A school drop out may be? I see him writing baseless stuff mostly provocative in nature."

This tweet was beginning of a Twitter war. Siddharth soon responded, "This lady badgered me for months to attend her panel discussion at ISB in 2009, which I did, along with @JP_LOKSATTA. Back then too I was a Post Graduate and I spoke my mind. She however sold both her integrity and her memory to her master. Now spreads Modi lies and vomit (sic)," Siddharth.

Gopal in turn tried to defend herself by writing, "I CHAIRED the session at #ISB . You were a panellist brought in by someone from the school . My invitees were 2 WEF ( World Economic Forum ) Young leaders . Accommodating you is proving to be a big mistake :) should have done my due diligence."

To this Siddharth responded, "I just found many emails and appointment requests from you to me over the years in my Gmail inbox. Would you like me to share them in public domain? Technology is a beautiful thing:) This will my last contact with you in this life...you have already taken too much of my time."

To this, Gopal said emails would have probably been sent by her office.
For a fairly old person you seem to be young in the Grey Department

Siddharth also tweeted a video of the speech that he gave at the Indian School of Business in 2009.
"This is my speech at the Indian School of Business in 2009. In it I speak against poor journalism, public amnesia and incompetent governance. I was young and angry then. I am younger and angrier today."

In another tweet, he wrote, "I wonder why I never got a single complaint or threat then about the tone and nature of my speech? Nobody attacked me for having an opinion... For asking questions. India has changed. It changed in front of our eyes. Question is... what are we going to do about it?"
