The Delhi Police has filed an FIR against JNUSU President Aishe Ghosh and 19 others (name not in the accused column but in detained list) for attacking security guards and vandalizing server room on January 4. The complaint was filed by JNU administration. An FIR was registered on January 5.
Reacting to the development, poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar mocked the Delhi Police.
Taking a dig at their judgment, he wrote:
¡°how dare she stop a nationalist iron rod with her head¡±.
¡°The FIR against the president of JNUSU is totally understandable. How dare she stop a nationalist, desh Premi iron rod with her head. These anti-nationals don¡¯t even let our poor goons swing a lathi properly. They always put their bodies there. I know they love to get hurt (sic),¡± Akhtar wrote on Twitter.

Alia Bhatt too took to social media to give her two cents. She wrote that citizens should reject ¡®any ideology that seeks to divide, oppress and promote violence.¡¯
¡°When students, teachers and peaceful civilians become victims of physical assault on an ongoing basis, it¡¯s time to stop pretending that all is fine. We must look truth in the eye and acknowledge that we are a house at war with itself. We, the people, of this country no matter how to diff our ideologies, must find a human solution to all of our complex problems, and reinforce the peaceful and inclusive ideals upon which this country was built,¡± the actor posted on Instagram Stories.
Violence broke out at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Sunday night as masked men armed with sticks attacked students and teachers and damaged property on the campus, prompting the administration to call in the police.
At least 18 people were injured and admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
JNU Students¡¯ Union president Aishe Ghosh suffered a head injury.
The JNU administration said, ¡°masked miscreants armed with sticks were roaming around, damaging property and attacking people¡°.
