Kangana Ranaut Claims Aamir Khan Started Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha Trend, Calls Him Mastermind
Kangana Ranaut has hit out at Aamir Khan this time. She claims that Khan planned negative stories around his movie to promote it. Calling him a mastermind, she said he started the boycott trend.
Amid the igniting controversy around Aamir Khan's forthcoming movie Laal Singh Chaddha, Kangana Ranaut has made a sensational claim. The actress thinks that Khan himself has started the 'boycott Laal Singh Chaddha' trend. Calling him a mastermind, she said that he skillfully curated the negativity around his own movie.
Kangana Ranaut thinks Aamir Khan is behind #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha trend
Taking to Instagram, Kangana Ranaut wrote, "I think all the negativity around the upcoming release Laal Singh Chadda is skillfully curated by mastermind Aamir Khan Ji himself. This year, no Hindi films have worked (barring one exception of a comedy sequel) only south films deeply rooted in Indian culture or with local flavour have worked. A Hollywood remake would have not worked anyway".
The Hindi movie that Kangana Ranaut was talking about was Kartik Aaryan starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
Please stop making it about religion, says Kangana
In her note, she added, "But now they will call India intolerant, Hindi films need to understand the pulse of audiences it's not about being a Hindu or Muslim. Even after Aamir Khan ji made Hinduphobic PK or called India intolerant, he gave the biggest hits of his life. Please stop making it about religion or ideology. It takes away from their bad acting and bad films."
Responding to being called anti-national and anti-Hindu amid #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha trending on Twitter, Aamir Khan said that it's untrue that he doesn't like India. He also requested people to watch his film.
"I feel sad that some of the people who are saying this, in their heart, they believe that I am someone who doesn't like India. In their hearts they believe, but it is untrue. It is rather unfortunate that some people feel that way. That's not the case," he was quoted as saying.
Furthermore, he requested people to watch his movie. "Please don't boycott my film. Please watch my film."
The statement that has caused a furore is from 2015. The actor had said, "When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ¡®Should we move out of India?¡¯ That¡¯s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day."
