'Your Sexual Preferences Must Remain In Your Bed Only', Kangana Ranaut On Gender Neutrality

In light of the ongoing hearings on same-sex marriages in the Supreme Court, Bollywood's Kangana Ranaut has expressed her views on gender and sexuality.

The 'Tanu Weds Manu' actor believes that one should not judge someone based on their gender or sexuality, and those who do, do not succeed in life.

The actress has even criticized those who identify themselves based on their gender and keeps "flaunting it everywhere." She even asserted that she never saw herself as "just a woman" and dislikes being referred to in that way.

Kangana Tweets About Gender Neutrality

On Friday, Kangana took to Twitter to share her thoughts on gender neutrality. ¡°Whether you are a man/woman/ anything else your gender is of no consequence to anyone but you, please understand. In Modern world we don't even use words like actresses or female directors we call them actors and directors. What you do in the world is your identity, not what you do in bed. Whatever your sexual preferences are they must remain in your bed only. Don't make them your identity card or medals and flaunt everywhere. Most importantly don't roam around with a knife to cut every throat who don't agree with your gender."

Moreover, Kangana disclosed that she hails from a rural area and did not receive any concession for being a woman from a rural background.

She stated that she had to establish herself on her own merits among directors, actors, and other professionals in the Bollywood industry.

'I Would Have Not Come This Far Had I Judged Everyone, Says Kangana

She added, ¡°Never ever see people from the lens of gender or any other physical attributes. You know what happened to those who thought Kangana is just a woman. They were in for a big surprise because I am not, I never see/perceive myself or anyone else that way. I am always in a room full of people, individual energies only people not men/women/homo/hetro/ physically strong or weak, no!!!!!! I would have not come this far had I judged everyone around me and myself on so many levels ...."

The Queen actor also went on to warn people that they "won't go very far if they have such limiting view and perception of the world and those who don't judge others will never judge themselves either," a part of her Twitter post read.

When R Madhavan Called Kangana 'Extraordinary'

Earlier, speaking of working with Kangana, during an interview with Rohan Dua, her co-star R Madhavan said that she is an extraordinary actor who brings so much to the roles she does onscreen.

"And look at what she is doing today across all genres of films, I am quite in awe," Madhavan was quoted as saying.

On the work front, Kangana is all set to be seen in Emergency, a film based on former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and the Indian Emergency in 1977. Kangana will be seen portraying Indira Gandhi on the big screen. The film will release later this year.
