Kangana Ranaut Turns Host For Reality Show 'Lock Upp', Takes A Dig At Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss'
Kangana Ranaut will turn host for the reality show Lock Upp which will be full of controversies. She took a dig at Salman Khan's Bigg Boss. She was also furious at a journalist for asking questions about Deepika Padukone.
For over 10 years, Salman Khan has been hosting what is hailed as the most controversial reality TV show Bigg Boss. There's no better host than Khan. The fact that he asks for a huge fee hike every year and the channel agrees to his demand is proof enough that the Bigg Boss and Khan are inseparable.
Giving a tough competition to the show, Ekta Kapoor has announced a new reality TV show that will be hosted by the Queen of Bollywood, Kangana Ranaut, the woman who is known for her sassy replies and someone who never minces her words.

During the press conference of the show, Ekta Kapoor revealed that Lock Upp will be full of controversies. It will see 16 celebrity contestants locked up in not a house but jail for 72 days. Not the audience, but host Kangana Ranaut will decide their fate. Who will stay inside and who will be eliminated - the power lies in the hands of Ranaut aka the jailer.
During the launch event, Kangana Ranaut took a dig at Salman Khan's Bigg Boss and said, "Ye koi aapke bade bhai ka ghar nahi hai, yeh mera jail hai. I will have files of every contestant and their truth."

While talking about the show, Ekta Kapoor said, "This is Kangana's lock-up. She will be in charge here. She has had a lot of FIRs coming her way. Now she can issue some. She will be vetting the contestants and finalising them."
During the event, Kangana Ranaut lashed out at a journalist who asked her a question related to Deepika Padukone.

She said, "Look, I am here to defend those who canĄ¯t defend themselves. Alright? She can defend herself. She has the privilege, the platform and I canĄ¯t promote her film here. Sit down." The question was about Deepika getting trolled for 'hemlines and necklines' during the Gehraiyaan promotions.
Lock Upp will also mark Kangana Ranaut's OTT debut as the show will stream live on AltBalaji and MX Player by the end of February.
