Karan Johar Responds If He Is Gay As He Hosts His First Ask Me Anything Session On 'Threads'
Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted his first 'As Me Anything' session on Threads to interact with his fans. He answered if he is gay.
In just a few days after its launch, Twitter rival Threads has hit 90 million users already. From celebrities to brands, everyone is trying out the new Instagram app "where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what'll be trending tomorrow."
As Threads continues to gain traction, filmmaker Karan Johar hosted his first 'Ask Me Anything' session on Threads to interact with his fans.
During the session, KJo received many questions. While some asked him about his next film, others asked him some "secrets" too.
As a fan asked KJo about Dharma Productions' collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, he responded, "Ask me no secrets, will tell you no lies."
Another fan asked him, "You are gay, right?", to which, he gave a witty response. He wrote, "You're interested?"
He also talked about his biggest regret. About his biggest strength, he said he is thick-skinned to trolls. Here are some more replies he gave to his fans.
On the work front, Karan Johar is making a comeback as a director seven years after Ae Dil Hai Mushkil with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani - the film which stars Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh. Ananya Panday, Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor will have cames in their films.
Some reports claim that Shah Rukh Khan is also doing a cameo in the film. However, nothing can be said to be confirmed as of now.
With Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Karan Johar said he is tapping into the quintessential Bollywood movie genre. "I did go through phases of evolution as a filmmaker. But right during the pandemic, I felt I just needed to make a movie that made me feel like I was 25 again. ¡°And when I was 25, the only movie I could think of or make was ¡®Kuch Kuch Hota Hai¡¯, because it was like an accumulation of all the movies that I had grown up watching. It¡¯s a homage to Raj Kapoor, Yash Chopra, Sooraj Barjatya," he was quoted as saying by PTI.
Veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi are also a part of the film. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is all set to hit the screens on July 28.
