In the midst of the drama, the director of the movie Advait Chandan has claimed that people are getting paid to troll Aamir Khan.
Is he talking about Kangana Ranaut? That's what most people think. Here's what he wrote on Instagram.
"I am told there are people being paid to troll Aamir Sir. This is deeply upsetting to hear and it's outright unfair. Why have I been trolling him for free? #PayEveryTroll", he said.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan has recently revealed why he playing the role of a Sikh man in the movie, which is a remake of the Hollywood movie Forrest Gump.
"Atul (Atul Kulkarni) in his adaptation (of Forrest Gump) had already placed him as a Sikh... When we received it as a script, we were already reading a Sikh character. So, it felt very natural to us and organic to us. So, none of us questioned why he was a Sikh.
"But now that I think about it, technically, he could be anyone; he could be South Indian. But I think Atul did that because, in our timeline of recent socio-political history, 1983¨C84 was a very key time, a very difficult time, and the Sikh community went through a lot of difficulties at that time," Aamir told journalist Baradwaj Rangan.
Atul Kulkarni, on the other hand, told Times Now that if you will watch the film only then you will know why Aamir Khan's character is Sikh. He said you will definitely get an answer.
It is being said that the movie shows 1984 Anti-Sikh Riots.
The 1984 anti-Sikh riots killed more than 3,000 Sikhs in Delhi and about
8,000 people across the entire nation. Also known as 1984 Sikh Massacre,
the riots were a series of organised programs by anti-Sikh mobs against
the Sikhs community post the assassination of then Prime Minister Indira
Gandhi by Sikh bodyguards.
