Story Of Courage: Mahima Chaudhry Breaks Down As She Shares About Her Breast Cancer Diagnosis
Mahima Chaudhry shares her cancer diagnosis story and thanks Anupam Kher for supporting her constantly. Mahima Chaudhry had breast cancer but she is totally fine now and has recovered.
Mahima Chaudhry was perfectly fine, at least that's what she thought when she went for her annual health check-up. When she was told to get a biopsy done. This was the beginning of her story of courage. In that very moment, she got to know she had breast cancer.

Mahima who has been away from the silver screen was in the US getting treated for cancer.
At that time, Anupam Kher had called her up to offer a role in his 525th film The Signature. That is when Mahima asked him if she could come to the sets with a wig. When Anupam probed her about the same, she couldn't hide it from him.
Mahima Chaudhry's cancer diagnosis
When she got tested, the doctor told her that they have found pre-cancer cells called Ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), which doesn't necessarily turn into cancer. After she got them removed, they discovered that some of them had turned cancerous. This also meant she would have to undergo chemotherapy. When Mahima heard this, she was unable to handle herself, but her sister and friends supported her in this tough time.
Mahima said that she didn't reveal to her parents that she had cancer. When she told her mother, she was so petrified that she had to be taken to the hospital.
"We are just so terrified with the word Cancer, which is why I didn't share about this with my parents." Finally, Mahima gathered the courage to tell her mother that she couldn't meet her for 10 days as she had a lump in her breasts which she got removed. When she told her mother, her blood pressure shot up and she passed out. She had to be taken to the hospital, in the evening, she said.
Mahima Chaudhry said that other women who were going through the same gave her a lot of courage and inspired her in many ways.
Mahima met with other women who would go back to work after chemotherapies refusing to take leaves, as being back at work made them feel normal.
"I wasn't the brave one. I was always weeping and crying until I met a little boy. I heard his voice and he gave me strength."
She said that while undergoing her chemotherapy, she tried talking to this boy. She told him, "Arre aapki dawai toh itni kam hai meri toh itni sari hai." The boy responded, "Issi se toh theek hote hain". She told him that this medicine gives her a lot of trouble later. He said that he takes five days of rest and then he goes out playing again.
Mahima Chaudhry thanked Anupam Kher for extending constant support to her as he called her "my hero".

Mahima Chaudhry also shared that she is totally fine and has recovered from cancer.
