Manoj Bajpayee Refutes Reports Of Being Approached For Cop Role In Allu Arjun's Film Pushpa 2
Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has been reportedly denied reports claiming that he has been approached to play a crucial role in Allu Arjun's Pushpa: The Rise Part 2.
Reports of Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpyeee, being approached for Allu Arjun's pan-India flick Pushpa: The Rise were doing the rounds on various websites. However, the actor who, had earlier called the Telugu blockbuster 'immaculate' has not bagged any role in the second part of the much-anticipated movie.
Manoj Bajpyeee, who is known for his performances in films such as Gangs of Wasseypur, Satya and Aligarh, himself denied being approached for any role by makers of Pushpa. "No truth! False news! That¡¯s all I can say!" the actor told News18.
The Family Man actor had earlier said that every frame in Allu Arjun's blockbuster Pushpa has been shot as if it was a matter of life and death. Directed by Sukumar, the film Pushpa: The Rise marks the director's third collaboration with actor Allu Arjun.
The film stars actress Rashmika Mandanna in the lead as well. The film revolves around the character Pushparaj, how he becomes a sandalwood smuggler and his personal trauma.
The Telugu action drama also marked noted Malayalam and Tamil actor, Fahadh Faasil's debut in the Telugu film industry. Fahadh played a corrupt cop, who will be locking horns with Allu's character in the second part of Pushpa: The Rule.
Meanwhile, Fahadh spilled beans if the Pushpa franchise will have a third installment. He recently said the film might see a potential third part as makers have enough material to create another flick out of it.
The actor had told 'The Cue' that director Sukumar was initially planning on making the film as an web series for OTT as he was given narration of both first and second part as one project.
However, now that it has already been turned into a movie, the makers may like to actually explore the possibility of making a third film. As fans eagerly await for the the sequel of the Telugu blockbuster, makers are yet to confirm the cast of Pushpa 2.
However, it surely would have been interesting to see the Gangs of Wasseypur actor playing a key character in the Part 2 of Pushpa: The Rise had the makers approached him for a role. Pushpa: The rise has been produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media.
Meanwhile, Pushpa: The Rise', which was also released in Hindi, became one of the most talked-about south Indian movies after its release last year. It collected over a 100 crore in just 7 weeks after its release in theatres.
On the work front, Manoj Bajpayee will be next seen in Despatch, Soup, and he also has and Family Man Season 3 in the pipeline.
