Munawar Faruqui Suggests He Is Not Quitting Comedy, Says 'Entertainment Aata Rahega'
After saying goodbye, I am done, Munawar Faruqui hints that he is not quitting comedy. He wrote, entertainment aata rahega and added Kuch rasta likh dega, kuch main likh dunga/ Woh likhte jaaye mushkil, Main manzil likh dunga.
"Goodbye, I'm done", when Munawar Faruqui wrote these words on Twitter, people thought he has lost the battle after not one or two but twelve of his shows got cancelled in two months. After Bengaluru Police wrote to the organisers of the show to cancel it, he took to Twitter to announce, "Nafrat jeet gayi, artist haar gaya (hate has won, artist has lost). I'm done, goodbye. Injustice."
But that doesn't mean he is quitting comedy.
Sharing an empowering message on Instagram, Faruqui wrote, "Entertainment aata rahega". He wrote this along with a photo of him on stage that had a massive audience listening to him. The message on the photo read, "Kuch rasta likh dega, kuch main likh dunga, Woh likhte jaaye mushkil, Main manzil likh dunga".
A lot of his fans and friends including Samay Raina and Sahil Shah extended support and love to him.
Several celebrities including Swara Bhasker, Zeeshan Ayyub and Varun Grover among others have previously too showed solidarity with Faruqui.
Satirist and comic Arpit Sharma had said he can get an escape gate because he is a Hindu.
"As an Artist, If I had ¡®Khan¡¯, ¡®Farooqui¡¯ or ¡®Kappan¡¯ as my surname, I would have had a different story altogether on Social Media. I know I get that escape gate being a Hindu. But, I always ensure that I utilise this privilege for Truth & Justice. With You Bhai - @munawar0018," he tweeted.
