Bharti Singh and her writer husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, who were arrested by the NCB for possession of 86.5 grams of cannabis (ganja), in November, have been out on bail that was granted to them by a special lower court on November 23, 2020. Now, NCB seeks to challenge that bail order.

NCB demands the couple's bail order be canceled and their custodial interrogation to begin instantly. While the number of drugs seized from Bharti and her husband is very little, NCB wants to come down heavily on them as they were named by a drug peddler who was arrested a night before them.
The central agency has been doing remarkable work in coming down hard on celebrities who consume drugs. Several have been interrogated including Deepika Padukone, Shraddha Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Arjun Rampal, and his girlfriend Gabriella Demetriades.
