Fans defend Shah Rukh Khan as section of people call for boycott of Pathaan after an old video of his 'Intolerance' remark resurfaces on social media.
After Mr. perfectionist Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha, Bollywood Badshah Shah Rukh Khan seems to be in trouble for his old 'India Intolerance' comment. Netizens have dug out an old video of Shah Rukh Khan that is now going viral on social media.
In the video, SRK can be allegedly heard talking about ¡°growing intolerance." The actor, who is all set to be seen in the upcoming film Pathaan, has drawn criticism over his remark in the video that was recorded during an interview.
Soon after the video went viral, certain section of users on Twitter called for boycott of SRK's film and ¡®#boycottPathaanmovie¡¯ started to trend on Twitter.
In the interview video, SRK was asked if he believed there was intolerance in the country to which the actor responded, ¡°I mean just for the symbolic gesture, yes, if I have to. But there is intolerance. There¡¯s extreme intolerance. I think there¡¯s growing intolerance."

However, it is unclear if the viral video is authentic or it was edited out.
Taking to social media, a user wrote, ¡°If India is an Intolerant Country, Then Why #ShahRukhKhan Is Still Living Here #BoycottPathanMovie?"
Another tweeted: ¡°The game is over for Bollywood¡¯s Bhaijaan, Badshah, Perfectionist etc. They have earned more than enough money, their stardom is decreasing day by day."

However, some of Shah Rukh Khan¡¯s fans came to his rescue on Twitter and showed their support for his forthcoming flick Pathaan after the old video interview of SRK resurfaced on social media. They gave befitting responses to all the ¡°negativity" and trended the #IndiaAwaitsPathaan on Twitter.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan and his family celebrated India's 75th Independence day by hoisting the national flag at their famous mansion Mannat joining the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is scheduled to hit theatres on January 25, 2023.
