Remember Jugaadu Kamlesh From Shark Tank India? Here's How Peyush Bansal Helped Him Scale Up

Shark Tank India Season 1 was a super hit. Entrepreneurs across the country brought ideas to redefine India's industrial culture and went on to scale their businesses both with or without investments from sharks (on-show investors). There was one entrepreneur in season 1 who was popularised as 'pitch of the season': Jugaadu Kamlesh.

Kamlesh last year touched on a crucial farming limitation and tried to crack the core problem farmers face in day-to-day life.

Kamlesh on show bought his self-invented multi-functional cart that smoothened the process of sowing, ploughing and watering their fields for farmers. He ended up highly impressing Lenskart founder Peyush Bansal who invested Rs 10 lakh for 40 per cent in his company and also offered him a loan of Rs 20 lakh without any interest.

In a recent update shared by Lenskart's youtube channel, Kamlesh is ready to launch a revamped version of his invention.

In an interaction with Peyush, Kamlesh can be seen demonstrating a new version of his cart named Bharat K2. Alongside his partner Naru, Kamlesh shared that K2 is the third version of his product. He was happy to share that since the first time he showed this on the Shark Tank, it has completely transformed for good. Kamlesh further detailed Peyush about the improvements he has worked upon.

Kamlesh plans to initially sell 2000 pieces of his product and based on feedback from farmers, he'll scale further.

Kamlesh was heard telling Peyush, ¡°Jo kaam ek din hota tha voh kaam ab ek ghante mein hoga (What we used to do in one day, we can now do in one hour).¡± Emcure founder and Shark Tank co-judge Namita Thapar was also seen arriving in the video's later half and hailed the improvements. While having a word about the first year's revenue target, Kamlesh quoted Rs 5 crore, which left Peyush and Namita highly impressed.

In the episode where Kamlesh appeared, Peyush had also promised the entrepreneur that his Lenksart designers will be onboarded for extended help.

In March last year, Peyush shared an update regarding the same and wrote on Instagram, ¡°Biggest concerns are: weight of Cart, movement on different uneven terrains and width of the cart (as alley size is small in certain crops). Next steps: Find creative solutions to these problems, do design optimisations and go back and test again.¡±
