Samay Raina deleted all the episodes of India's Got Latent after uproar on social media and complaints against the show. As soon as Samay announced the same, some people were happy that it happened and other fans expressed how this is unfair. Amid this Kashmir Files director Vivek Agnihotri took to X and shared his views on the same. In a long note he shared, he expressed that trolling on social media is fine but for this matter to be taken to Parliament is just a waste of time and the nation's productivity. He also advised Samay to stay strong and come out of it in the best way possible.

A part of the note read, ¡°Samay Raina (@ReheSamay) is a product of this new digital era. Anyone with an analogue-wired mind struggles to understand him or his audience. It's not just about comedy¡ªit's about an entirely different way of thinking. Today's parents don't understand their digital-native kids. ¡°
As per the director, comedy vulgarity has sparked a selective and hypocritical outcry. India has long had a social space for irreverent humor; innuendos, satire, and social defiance have been commonplace in wedding songs, Holi celebrations, Tepa Sammelans, Gadha Sammelans, Nautanki, Parsi theater, double-meaning Bollywood dialogues, and poetry gatherings (Kavi Sammelans and Mushairas). But these art forms are fading as religious and political forces tighten their hold. Samay Raina and other comedians are just bridging the gap.
