Actor R Madhavan, Nambi Narayan reaches USA, meets astronaut Sunita Williams as they promote their upcoming film Rocketry.
Actor R Madhavan, who is busy with the promotions of his new project Rocketry: The Nami Effect, a film based on the life of former scientist and aerospace engineer Nambi Narayanan of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), recently met Indian-origin astronaut Sunita Williams in the USA.
Reports suggest that actor-director R Madhavan is currently on a 12-day USA tour for the promotion of his upcoming movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect along with ISRO engineer Nambi Narayan.
R Madhavan, Nambi Narayan And Sunita Williams' Picture Goes Viral
Both have met Sunita Williams, as per a photo that has gone viral on social media platforms. R Madhavan and the former ISRO scientist had been promoting the movie in Stafford, Texas, where Mayor Cecil Willis recently declared June 3 as Nambi Narayanan Day.
The two interacted with Sunita Williams during their visit to Texas. The picture of the three posing together has been shared online wherein the actor-turned-director can be seen standing on the left side of Sunita Williams while Nambi Narayan stands a little bit away and to the right of the astronaut.
Rocketry Received 10-Minute Long Standing Ovation At Cannes
Moreover, R Madhavan's film Rocketry was screened at the prestigious 75th Cannes Film Festival this year. Though it was wasn't officially selected, the film got a 10-minute-long standing ovation at the coveted film fest as it made its world premiere on May 20. The biographical drama also marks R Madhavan's directorial debut.
Recently, after Bollywood singer KK's death, R Madhavan recalled how KK made his song from his popular film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein a massive hit. Remembering the late versatile singer, R Madhavan said that KK sang Sach Keh Raha Hai with so much soul that he had to do much hard work to meet the demands of the song. ¡°It was emotional, it had betrayal and half the expressions in that song came about because of the way he sang it,¡± added the actor.
¡°He has one of the best souls I ever met and he was the nicest human being ever. He always sang with open heart and the irony is that's the only thing that gave up on him. I am heartbroken," the 3 Idiots actor added.
