R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is a frontrunner for winning Best Picture National Film Awards 2023. Based on the life of Indian Space Research Organisation's scientist Nambi Narayanan, the film shows how he was allegedly falsely accused of selling confidential information about India¡¯s cryogenic programme to Pakistan in 1994. This not only ruined his own life but was a big setback the Indian space program, shows the film.
R Madhavan, who made his directorial debut with Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, has reacted to social media claims that he lost his house to fund his film.
Madhavan played the role of aerospace engineer and former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) scientist Nambi Narayanan in the biopic film that hit theatres on July 1 while it was released on OTT platforms on July 26, 2022.
Made at a reasonable budget, Madhavan's Rocketry sustained well after a slow start and eventually went on to bag decent numbers in terms of box office collections.
However, some of Madhavan aka Maddy's fans think he had lost his house to fund his most ambitious project as there were reports that while talking to Siddharth Kannan on his show R. Madhavan had said that he had worked on a few projects so they could fund their film.
According to the reports he even claimed that he doesn't have a house of his own and had promised his wife that they would buy a lavish home after Rocketry releases.
One of Maddy's fans posted, "Madhavan lost his house to fund Rocketry and directed this movie when the original director had opted out due to prior commitments. On another note his son, Vedaant,is winning medals for the nation in swimming. Salute for Maddy!"
However, now, Maddy has taken to Twitter to clarify that his film Rocketry has made good profits and that he still lives in his house.

Reacting to the claims, R Madhavan tweeted, "Oh Yaar. Pls don¡¯t over patronize my sacrifice. I did not lose my house or anything. In fact all involved in Rocketry will be very proudly paying heavy Income Tax this year. Gods grace ????", and added the national flag emojis. He added, "We all made very good and proud profits. I still love and live in my house .???"
Meanwhile, on the work front, Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein star R Madhavan will be next feature in Dhokha Round D Corner and Amriki Pandit.
