R Madhavan Is Open To Doing Romantic Films, 'Have To Be Age Appropriate In My Roles'
R Madhavan said that he now wants to pursue age appropriate roles.
Actor R Madhavan, who is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has expressed that he is willing to feature in romantic films if and only he is paired with a female lead with appropriate age.
The actor, who won millions of hearts as Maddy romancing Dia Mirza in the 2001 film Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (RHTDM), said that he now wishes to play age appropriate characters.

Speaking about the same, the RHTDM actor told PTI, "I have to be age appropriate in my roles. It is not that I am romancing a young girl now. It is not something that I want to do. If I am offered a romantic film, it has to be age appropriate or have content that makes me viable for me to be part of it."
The 52-year-old actor also revealed that as a performer he always follows his instincts. "I go by where I am emotionally. If it appeals to me, I do it. It is always instinctive," the Tanu Weds Manu star added.
R Madhavan, who has predominantly worked in Bollywood and the Kollywood film industries so far in his career, said that he became well aware about the unpredictable nature of the entertainment business early on in his journey. Other than RHTDM, the actor is best known for the love stories - Alaipayuthey, Kannathil Muthamittal, and Tanu Weds Manu.

Madhavan To Portray Nambi Narayanan In His Upcoming Biopic Movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect
Meanwhile, R Madhavan is all set to be seen portraying the character of Nambi Narayanan, the former ISRO scientist and aerospace engineer who was accused of espionage. R Madhavan, who has written the script of upcoming biopic film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect based on Nambi Narayanan, also marks his directing debut with this film.

Recently, he also opened up about the challenges he had faced while shooting for the film.
Speaking of his transformation, the actor said, "It was literally rocket science how the entire team planned the look from being a 29 year old man to 79 year old guy. To maneuver the look between our schedule of 43 days was one of our greatest achievements. You will see in the film how the transition of the look is so seamless that you would not even realise how and when the look changed,¡± the Breathe actor said in a video shared on YouTube.
