After Battling Brain Stroke, Rahul Roy Talks About Fake Well-Wishers From The Film Industry
Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy suffered a brain stroke in Kargil last year. In an interview with ETimes Roy said some of his industry colleagues reached out to him after his brain stroke.
Adversities become the real eye-openers for most of us. It's when we hit rock bottom that we see who our genuine well-wishers in life are. For Aashiqui actor Rahul Roy, this reality check came from a health scare, which opened his eyes to who 'real' people in life are.
In November 2020, Rahul was shooting for his film LAC- Live The Battle In Kargil when he suffered a brain stroke and was rushed to Nanavati hospital.
In an interview with ETimes, Roy said some of his industry colleagues reached out to him after his brain stroke last year, but many did not.
While Roy has been recuperating after suffering a brain stroke in Kargil last year, he said he's thankful for his sister¡¯s support, who has been instrumental in his recovery process.
Talking about November 2020, where everything fell apart, he said,
"When I was in Kargil, I didn¡¯t even know why and what I was doing. When I returned, I was on a wheelchair, and it was difficult for me to speak to anybody. Even now, you may not get everything that I want to say. It¡¯s difficult, but I am trying and succeeding."
When Rahul was asked if his colleagues got in touch with him in his time of need, he said,
¡°Some people did. But I am asking them to be with me for a little more time, which means, wait it out a while.¡± Talking about well-wishers who suddenly pop up after everything is done, Rahul said, ¡°Those who haven¡¯t contacted me should rather not get back with me and try talking. Yes, the people who have tried to get back are few. There have been some who suddenly tell me, ¡®Oh, I was trying to contact you, I wanted to get in touch with you, blah, blah, blah. I don¡¯t think they were trying to. Frankly, I largely keep to myself.¡±
Talking about his Aashiqui co-star Anu Aggarwal, he said she hadn¡¯t met him, but there could be a possibility of her trying to reach out.
