Film Industry Never Lauded Him For Hollywood Debut But It Doesn't Affect Randeep Hooda At All

Randeep Hooda made his entry in Bollywood with director Mira Nair's critically-acclaimed 2001 movie Monsoon Wedding and made heads turn with his performance.
Randeep Hooda's choices may be deemed 'unconventional but the actor is the master of his craft and a risk-taker. A year ago, in April, Randeep Hooda¡¯s international film, Extraction, was released on a digital platform.

When the film was being ready for its film¡¯s digital premiere, Randeep had said,
¡°Maybe they didn¡¯t like my acting.'
When he was further asked about Bollywood¡¯s cold reaction to his Hollywood project, he spoke to Pinkvilla and said:
¡°I was asked that Bollywood which lauds a poster launch, a teaser launch, or a blink-and-miss appearance of an actor in a Hollywood film had not said much about my work. I responded to that saying that maybe they didn¡¯t like my acting man¡¡±
And now, after a two-decade career, Randeep, who has had only 50 releases knows what he wants from here on. A TOI report quotes the actor as saying,
¡°I want to do more action films now. I enjoy that genre and want to expand myself as an actor where I need to prepare and change myself in every way and experience another life. I feel fortunate that 20 years down the line, filmmakers find me exciting and unexplored. I am offered challenging work, and I hope it continues."
Over the years, he spent time working in theatre with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah's troupe Motley.
Parallelly, his Bollywood journey was also at a good pace with releases like D, Darna Zaroori Hai, and Love Khichdi.
