After three blockbusters, Ranveer is all set to star in another Sanjay Leela Bhansali film called Baiju Bawra, as per reports.

While Kartik Aaryan and Ranbir Kapoor were also under consideration for the role, Singh has bagged the role.

"It is Ranveer Singh who has been finalised. An official announcement is in the offing, but yes, a few modalities yet remain to be worked out. Probably post all that, Bhansali will declare. But as things stand today, it is Ranveer", an insider told ETimes.

What is Baiju Bawra about?

It is the revenge story of a maverick maestro. The plot of the 1952 musical megahit film of the same that starred Meena Kumari, Bharat Bhushan, and Surendra in lead role, revolved around the titular character who is on a mission to defeat Tansen in a musical duel to avenge the death of his father. The story also involves a love triangle.
