Randeep Hooda Calls Laal Singh Chaddha A 'Great Adaptation' Of Forrest Gump Amid Controversy

Despite controversies and protests, Aamir Khan most-anticipated Hindi remake of Forrest Gump hit theatres on August 11. The film starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya was touted to be one of the biggest money-spinners at the box.

However, amid the boycott trend in Bollywood, the film Laal Singh Chaddha has become Aamir Khan¡¯s lowest opener in 13 years, collecting half of RRR on its first-day.

While many people have called for boycott of the film, Aamir Khan's peers from the Bollywood industry have come out in his support and some have even praised the film, which marks his return to the silver screen after four years.

Actors Sushmita Sen and Richa Chadha recently praised Advait Chandan's directorial Laal Singh Chaddha for its entertainment value. Sushmita Sen attended Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha premiere with her ex-boyfriend Rohman Shawl and her daughters.

Randeep Hooda too took to his Twitter account and shared that though he was a bit apprehensive about Laal Singh Chaddha initially, his views changed after watching Aamir Khan's latest film.

Whereas actress Richa Chadha wholeheartedly endorsed Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha to moviegoers as she wrote, "As a Chadha I whole heartedly endorse #LalSinghChadha ?Made us laugh and cry in unison, collective gasps emanating from the theatre audience at key cameos were ???excellent work by ALL! Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha merely earned around ?7 crore on Friday. The total collection since the premiere of the film stands at around ?19 crore at the domestic box office. The film released on the same day Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan hit theatres, which too didn't fare well at the box office.
