Laal Singh Chaddha Actor Aamir Khan Joins Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign Ahead Of Independence Day
Laal Singh Chaddha actor Aamir Khan has joins 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign of PM Modi.
Amid massive controversy over Laal Singh Chaddha, actor Aamir Khan has joined the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign in what seems to be a proof of his recent statement.
Ahead of Independence Day 2022, Aamir Khan displayed the national flag at his Mumbai home on Friday to join the mass campaign launched by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government.
The campaign under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav encourages netizens to bring the tricolour home and hoist it to mark India's 75th Independence Day.
Reportedly, a day after the release of Laal Singh Chaddha, Dangal actor Aamir Khan was seen standing on his balcony with his daughter Ira Khan on Friday evening. The national flag was also spotted being placed near the railing of the balcony.
Aamir Khan's latest film has courted backlash for several reasons. One of the reasons being his 2015 statement wherein he had mentioned that his ex-wife Kiran Rao had suggested moving out of India due to intolerance.
¡°When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ¡®Should we move out of India?¡¯ That¡¯s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day," the actor had stated as per PTI.
Fans took to react to the flag hosited at Aamir Khan's Mumbai home. While some judged the quality of the flag, few supported Aamir Khan for his patriotic act.
"Just look at the QUALITY OF the Flag hoisted by Aamir Khan. He has not even bought from Khadi Bhandar ..its done for PR even then he could not resist the Jihadi inside him," wrote a user on Twitter.
