'Such People Should Be Hanged On Streets', Riteish Deshmukh On 13-Year-Old Girl's Rape By SHO

The incident that has come to light is not just shocking but is giving nightmares to the whole nation. It has raised a lot of questions and everyone including the celebrities is appalled.

A 13-year-old girl, a rape survivor, was allegedly kidnapped by four men who raped her. As she managed to escape from their captivity, she reached the Police station to lodge a complaint, but to her surprise and all of ours, she was raped at the Police station by the SHO Tilakdhari Saroj.

Reacting to this, Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh tweeted in Hindi, "If this is true then nothing could be worse. Where will people go to seek justice if the protector becomes the predator? Such people should be hanged on the streets. Government should take action as soon as possible."

The incident took place in the police station in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The four men who had kidnapped her on April 22 took her to Bhopal where they sexually abused her was dumped near the Pali Police station by the accused. The cops then handed over the girl to the aunt without informing her about the incident. She was told to come back to the Police station a day later to record her statement. She reached the Police station along with her aunt, who took her to SHO's room, where she was sexually abused by him all over again.

Accused inspector was absconding. Police was behind the accused; they were regularly changing phones. One of the accused was arrested, he was made to reveal whereabouts of others & they were nabbed. "Once again, the girl was handed back to her aunt, and her parents were allegedly kept in the dark. On April 30, the police handed the girl over to the Childline team for counselling and she narrated her ordeal," a senior official was quoted as saying.

"All six accused, including the SHO and the victim¡¯s aunt, have been arrested. The SHO has been arrested from Prayagraj,¡± said ADG (Kanpur Zone) Bhanu Bhaskar told The Indian Express.

A case has been registered against them under Sections 363, 376, 376B, 120B of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and 3(2)5 of the SC/ST Act.

Lalitpur SP Nikhil Pathak told the media, "A minor has been allegedly raped by four boys on April 22. When she was brought to the police station, the SHO raped her as well. A case has been registered against six accused, including the SHO who has been suspended."
