Rocketry Director R Madhavan Says There¡¯s A Lot of ¡®Hue And Cry¡¯ Over North Vs South Debate
R Madhavan opened up about North Vs South debate "people are going to accept films they like"
Joining the group of actors voicing their opinion on the ongoing North Vs South debate, Rocketry: The Nambi Effect director R Madhavan has broken his silence on the matter.
The actor, who is currently busy promoting his debut directorial Rocketry, is known to have worked in both the industries and he thinks that too much hue and cry is happening over the North Vs South topic.

Speaking of the matter, actor-turned-director R Madhavan told India Today, that there¡¯s a lot of ¡®hue and cry¡¯ taking place over the language debate. Speaking of how the Covid-19 pandemic has lead to people becoming more accepting, the Tanu Weds Manu actor said that people will accept films that they like while they will reject those that they don¡¯t.
¡°That¡¯s always going to be there,¡± the Vikram Vedha actor said. R Madhavan futher expressed that south movies such as RRR, Pushpa, and KGF 2 have extremely well at the box office and there are other Hindi films such as Gangubai Kathiawadi, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 that have done fairly well too.
Moreover, the actor who does speak his mind at times when necessary also added that there is no fixed formula or pattern to what will work and what won't. The actor went on to say that the idea is to create movies that are aspirational enough to lure the audience to the theatres.
¡°Finding a formula there is not possible. I think the weak ones are trying to see a pattern in it. The idea is to make films that are aspirational enough to bring the audience to the theatres. Some films may not have worked as they may have fallen into the pandemic bracket. That's all there's to it. Why have we become a country that wants to make news about everything?¡±, R Madhavan said.

R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect
Meanwhile, R Madhavan is gearing up for the release of his much-anticipated upcoming movie Rocketry: The Nambi Effect. The film based on the life of Nambi Narayan, the former scientist and aerospace engineer of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), who was accused of espionage.
Recently, R Madhavan released a new poster of his forthcoming flick Rocketry and it's giving us a patriotic vibe. The film has been receiving praises from fans ever since its inception and fans eagerly waiting to watch the biographical drama in theatres.
Written directed by the talented R Madhavan himself, the film will see the actor essaying the titular role of ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan. The biographical drama is a pan-India movie that will release in Hindi, Tamil, and English apart from its dubbed versions in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Rocketry: The Nambi Effect hits the screens on July 1, 2022.
