After the family members woke up, the robber allegedly left the scene, and authorities are attempting to track him down. Late last night, an unidentified person entered the home of actor Saif Ali Khan and got into a fight with the maid. Saif Ali Khan got injured after the intruder struck him when he tried to step in and defuse the situation. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident according to the Mumbai Police as stated by news agency ANI.

Statement by Saif Ali Khan¡¯s team
As per Indian Express, the actor¡¯s team confirmed the news and asked everyone to be patient. ¡°There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan¡¯s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated on the situation,¡± the statement read.
The actor was admitted with six injuries, including one that was extremely close to his spine, between three and three thirty in the morning, according to a statement from the hospital's COO.
