Saiyami Kher Talks About Her Casting Couch Experience In Bollywood, Says She's Met Mean Casting Directors

You might already know that model Saiyami Kher is making her Bollywood debut with Sonam Kapoor's brother, Harshvardhan Kapoor. And looking at the promos of the film, we can say that the lady shows promise. But seems like her struggle in the industry has been quite tough. According to a report on Bollywoodlife, Saiyami Kher recently spoke about her casting couch experience, her struggle, and how it hasn't been a bed of roses for her.
Talking about her struggle, she said, "I¡¯ve struggled and stood in queues for auditions. I know the feeling of dejection when things don¡¯t materialise. Going through auditions, awaiting my turn and meeting mean casting directors has taught me a lot. I have experienced it all before my first film."
She also spoke about her modelling career in detail. She added, "I started modelling at 16, all thanks to our family friend, Sushma Reddy , who said I had a decent face and I should give it a try. Before I did my first portfolio, she sat me down and lectured me on the ways of the industry. She told me that I couldn¡¯t get into drugs, alcohol or fall in love for the next 10 years. So, I had these people who guided and guarded me."
